My mission is to walk alongside teenage and college-aged women, children, and families on their journey towards health and flourishing. I believe in a holistic approach to counseling that addresses the emotional, psychological, social, and spiritual facets of who we are. As a former student I understand the severe challenges college can bring. I am seeking to care for those struggling with depression, anxiety, self-harm, trauma, life transitions, and personal growth. I desire to be a light in the darkness and a source of hope and comfort for others in their own seasons of struggle. I am also happy to incorporate faith and spirituality in the counseling process upon request. I am a counseling intern under supervision pursuing my Master's degree in Christian Marriage, Family, and Individual Counseling from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary.
I am a licensed clinical social worker with over 20 years of experience working with children, teens, adults and families in a variety of settings including residential group home treatment, the foster care system and the public school system. My practice style includes a variety of therapeutic approaches such as: solution focused therapy; cognitive behavioral therapy; and reality therapy using a strengths based approach.
