You deserve a therapist who understands your life in all its complexity. My clients are individuals and couples working through anxiety, depression, grief, identity questions, and strain in their relationships. Many have struggled to find a therapist who can help them feel comfortable exploring more challenging parts of their lives. A lot of my work is with men who learned early that self-reliance was supposed to be enough. I also specialize in working with LGBTQ+ clients and with people exploring nonmonogamy and kink. I want that to be a place of affirmation, not something you have to explain or defend. My approach is grounded in Internal Family Systems. I'm a Certified IFS therapist and have served as a teaching assistant for the IFS Institute. IFS meets the parts of you that feel stuck with curiosity instead of judgment. I also draw on CBT, psychodynamic, and relational work. Before this, I spent a decade in business, government, and nonprofits. That background gives me a feel for the real-world pressures people carry into the room. Reaching out is often the hardest part. Whether you're feeling stuck or just ready to understand yourself better, I'd be glad to talk. I see clients virtually across New York, New Jersey, and Colorado, and I offer a free 15-minute consultation.

I believe that each of our stories are equally sacred as they are unique and see therapy as an opportunity to cultivate curiosity for ourselves, let go of self-judgement, and create meaningful change. I utilize an embodied approach rooted in Gestalt Therapy and don't shy away from bringing humor, play and creativity to the therapeutic process. Though my experience ranges across many areas, I gravitate towards helping clients work through Inner Child Healing, codependency, perfectionism, relational trauma, multicultural identity and relationship issues. I also work with couples seeking to deepen intimacy, trust and communication.

My ideal client may be struggling with a wide array of issues such as anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, academic pressures, life transitions, or identity exploration. They may require support in developing effective coping strategies, enhancing their emotional regulation skills, and building a strong sense of self-worth. They may also need guidance in understanding their mental health, navigating interpersonal dynamics, or setting or achieving goals. The goals for my ideal client often revolve around self-discovery and personal growth. As a therapist-in-training with a background in social work and chemical dependency counseling, I specialize in helping college students navigate life's complexities. I understand that college can be a time of significant stress, change, and personal development, and I am here to support you as you face these challenges. I understand that reaching out for support can feel daunting, especially when you're already managing so much. Therapy is not about "fixing" you; it's about understanding you—your story, your strengths, your struggles, and your hopes. It's about creating a space where you can be your most authentic self without fear of judgment.

“I want to feel happier and less depressed.” “We would like to improve our relationship.” “I would like to feel calmer and more in control, in spite of the stress, loss and trauma I have experienced.” “We want to help our children cope with our divorce.” “We need to figure out how we are going to live as a divorced family.” These are some of the most frequent goals of my clients as we work together. Many of the stresses and conflicts my clients face can be due to life’s experiences and losses or can come from within. Stress and conflict can lead to disintegration of relationships with our partners and our children, and even in how we view ourselves. Strengthening coping skills, emotional connection and intimacy can help repair fractures, increase compassionate understanding, and build closeness. Focusing on positive growth, shifting well-engrained patterns, and building greater self-acceptance can create lasting change and happiness. As a clinical psychologist with over 40 years of experience, I help adults, couples and families, by integrating many different therapeutic approaches to best fit my clients’ needs.

You are seeking therapy because you know it’s time for a change. Your anxiety or trauma have affected how you see and interact with the world, and feeling more at peace seems like a hard-to-reach place. Oftentimes, we’re our own worst critics. You may be telling yourself that you can’t meet your work or academic goals, address challenging relationship issues, or develop the self-esteem and creativity you need to succeed on your path in life. Your perspective of the world may have been shaped by childhood experiences you had little to no control over. Maybe you are a member of the LGBTQIA+ community and have lost the support of your family or loved ones due to issues related to your identity. Or perhaps you no longer know who you are anymore, don’t like who you are, or don’t know how to relate to other people. You’re here now because you’ve made the decision to become more aware of the negative self-talk that has been affecting daily functioning and ready to learn what to do with it when it comes around. In confronting your fears, and looking within yourself, you learn to understand how to make sense of the world, how to better cope with strategies and tools that are actually useful and your focus begins to shift to things that you can actually control. Seeking change is no small feat and takes incredible courage! Luckily, you don’t have to walk this path alone. Creating a safe space where you get to challenge those beliefs, invest in your well-being, and improve your overall life satisfaction is my highest priority.

Taking the step to start therapy shows incredible courage and strength, and I’m here to support you through it. I create a warm, welcoming space where you can reflect and heal, whether you're dealing with stress, anxiety, relationship struggles, trauma, or the ups and downs of life as a student. My approach is all about collaboration—working together to understand what you're going through and identifying your strengths. College life can be overwhelming at times, and therapy is a chance to unpack those feelings, make sense of your experiences, and find your way to a more balanced, empowered you. Whether this is your first time or you’re experienced with therapy, I’d love to chat and see if we’re a good fit. Let’s work together to help you navigate this chapter and create meaningful change for your future.

I believe that each and every individual is unique, from the issues you face to the path in which life has taken you. I apply this idea to every client that I work with. I work hard to listen to your struggles, help you process the emotions you may be facing, and collaborate to find solutions that are going to be the best fit for you. I look for clients who are open to an equal amount of support and challenge from their therapist, as I believe both of those ideas are vital to making positive growth in life.

Welcome to Soul Sync Health! We are a psychiatrist-led, trauma-informed practice in New York dedicated to providing evidence-based care for students and young adults. Many of the individuals we work with share a common feeling: on the outside, they seem to be "handling it," but on the inside, they are running on fumes. Whether you are navigating the pressure of being a high-achiever, feeling the weight of "imposter syndrome," or struggling to find your identity outside of academic or family expectations, you aren’t alone. We believe that your mental health cannot be separated from the world you live in, which is why our work is rooted in the understanding that your race, gender, sexuality, and cultural background deeply shape your lived experience. We invite your whole self into the room, acknowledging that systemic barriers and identity-based struggles are often at the heart of the stress you carry. We’ve found that our clients thrive best in a space where they don’t have to "perform" or explain away their cultural values. If you’re tired of being told to simply "practice self-care" while your plate remains overflowingly full, we offer a different, culturally responsive approach. Our practice is a judgment-free zone where we help you untangle the "mental fog" of anxiety, code-switching, and decision fatigue. By breaking down big, overwhelming feelings into smaller, manageable pieces, we work together to move you from a state of constant survival to a place of genuine, grounded confidence. We strive to provide care that is curious rather than presumptive, meeting you with the validation you deserve as you navigate the complexities of your unique identity. Our ultimate goal is to help you build a life that feels authentic to you, not just one that looks good on paper. We work best with those who are ready to look beneath the surface and explore the roots of their stress, building sustainable tools that last long after graduation. At Soul Sync Health, we prioritize a collaborative approach that honors your perspective and helps you dismantle the internal and external pressures holding you back. You don’t need to have the "right" words or a perfect plan to start; you just need to show up as you are. We’re here to help you find your own rhythm in the middle of all the noise.

“What is it you plan to do with your one wild and precious life?” -Mary Oliver I've been thinking about this every day since the first time I read it (or rather the first time it smacked me in the face, oh, so many years ago). It's some question, isn't it? Sometimes it inspires me. Sometimes it frightens me. Since it always challenges me, I've rooted my practice philosophy in it. It's kind of like the adult version of 'what do you want to be when you grow up'? How in the world do we answer that? If the question moves you like it does me then we're probably a good fit. Let's talk about the complexities of making life choices and finding fulfillment.
