I am trained in EMDR and attend monthly consultation with a certified EMDR consultant. Many people come to me with knowledge or curiosity of stored trauma in the body and its effects. This can look like persistent anxiety, "unexplained" health challenges like autoimmune disease, pelvic pain, abdominal pain and more. Additionally, clients will come to me and say that despite years of talk therapy they still feel stuck and want to explore how EMDR may be helpful for them. EMDR is an 8 phase process that doesn't have a specific timeline; it is catered to your needs and goals and progress is closely monitored throughout.

High-achieving individuals often face these challenges in silence, but you don't have to. This is where our work together begins… At Manning Psychological Wellness, I help ambitious individuals and students to navigate challenges including anxiety, stress, self-esteem, perfectionism, burnout, and life transitions. We will work together to help you gain clarity, and develop strategies that support resilience and growth- academically and personally.
Feeling the pressures of everyday life, struggling with ‘imposter syndrome,’ flooded with thoughts that you’re not meeting your own expectations (or someone else’s)? These are just a few of the areas I commonly support clients with. I regularly work with young adults and professionals coping with recent life changes and/or stressors that are impacting their ability to: concentrate, engage with others or maintain meaningful relationships or manage their emotional state. When a client is ready, I assist them in exploring/identifying their strengths, and the skills they can apply to stressors while introducing healthier coping skills to trial. Through this process the goal is for the individual to gain a greater understanding of their stressors and triggers and learn effective skills they can use outside of sessions.
I specialize in working with folks who struggle with recurring panic attacks, anxiety, or intrusive thoughts and repetitive behaviors. I teach you how anxiety and panic actually work so you can build skills to finally take back control and live more confidently.
I love supporting college students and have been doing so for the past 15 years. I spent much of that time providing therapy in New York City, before returning to my home town of Fairfield, CT to continue my practice. In addition to in person appointments, I continue to provide telehealth sessions for any students located in CT or NY. I also have experience with this age group in schools, medical and psychiatric hospital settings and in the classroom while teaching at the Silberman School of Social Work at Hunter College. I truly enjoy working with my clients and draw upon my own experience and their inherent strengths to achieve change in a welcoming and nonjudgmental environment.
