We are an association of therapists, each with a unique perspective and set of skills that are as individual as each of our clients. It is reasonable that not every Therapist is for you. With our team you have options to see who is the best fit for your needs. We implement a cognitive coaching style of effective psychotherapy which instills self-understanding and encourages adoption of new attitudes and feelings towards life situations. Therapy does not need to be a life long endeavor and we teach our clients the tools to help themselves. It is essential to keep in mind that therapy is not a magic pill or a quick fix: therapy is a healing process that necessitates participation and investment from the patient and caretaker alike. But in the end, making small changes to self-defeating behavior and coping with feelings of sadness, fear, and pain can bring life-altering results.

College can be a wild mix of freedom and stress... with friend drama, missing home but wanting independence, figuring out what you want to do with your life, financial pressure, loneliness when friend groups shift, and the everyday weight of adult responsibilities starting to pile up. It’s a lot to carry, and it makes sense if you’re feeling stuck, anxious, or unsure how to handle it all. And then, when you’re finally ready to reach out for support, finding a therapist can feel like another full-time assignment. Scrolling through endless profiles feels a little like online dating... you’re reading way too many bios, everyone sounds kind of the same, and you’re left wondering who you’ll actually click with. Add in the stress of costs, schedules, and trying to figure out if they’ll really get what you’re going through, and it’s exhausting before you even start. My goal is to make that step less overwhelming and give you a space where you don’t have to perform, pretend, or have it all figured out.

I provide experienced, thoughtful care to young adults and college students navigating a wide range of challenges. Whether you’re feeling stuck, anxious, disconnected, overwhelmed, or simply seeking clarity and direction, therapy can help you better understand yourself, shift unhelpful patterns, and create meaningful change. My approach is holistic, warm, and relational. I work collaboratively with each client to uncover the underlying forces shaping their current concerns, helping them identify choice points and reconnect with their strengths. While I work with a wide range of presenting issues, I have a special focus on treating trauma in its many forms. I am especially committed to providing safe, affirming, and effective care for survivors of sexual abuse and assault, and for those carrying the long shadows of past experiences. Regardless of the content, I approach every session with cultural humility, clinical attunement, and deep respect for each client’s lived experience. Therapy is your time—for insight, healing, growth, or simply space to breathe and think. A strong therapeutic relationship is at the heart of this work, and I invest fully in building that alliance with every client I meet. In my time working as a counselor, I have helped patients manage and overcome obstacles like anxiety, depression, and major life transitions. From challenges with the overwhelming pressure of academic life, work life, career choices, relationship challenges, and more, I will be there to offer an objective perspective on your situation and provide healthy tips and resources to navigate it. My approach empowers personal growth while always ensuring you feel safe, seen, and heard. Therapy is a great place to talk about life's problems where you can say anything and not be judged. No matter what you’re facing, talking with someone can help. My goal is to create a supportive, judgment-free space where you feel like you’re grabbing coffee with a friend…a friend who happens to be a licensed counselor with more than 10 years of experience. I work with teenagers (age 14+), adults, as well as couples. Depending on patients’ needs, I utilize CBT, DBT, and Reality Therapy approaches in sessions. Currently, all sessions will be conducted virtually, allowing you to participate from the comfort of your own home and on a more flexible schedule. Let's do this together!

Hi! My name is Josh Foster, I have over 20 years experience in working with college students, helping them through many of the most difficult emotional barriers and roadblocks that we face. I love working with college students! A lot of the work that I do with people centers around trauma that they have experienced. As someone who has been diagnosed with PTSD as a result of trauma suffered by churches and religious people and systems, I have great empathy and understanding for people dealing with trauma. Here's some of how I approach the work I do with people: I’ll get to know you through asking questions. No one story can encapsulate all of who you are, so I’ll listen and show curiosity about you and your life. I will speak hope to you. I believe that hope is essential to keep moving forward as a human being. I also understand how hard it can be to hold onto. We’ll look for repeated themes, ideas, and connections in your stories so that we can find the problem(s) and discover the tactics and strategies that the problems are using to stay in power. We will work to separate you from the problem(s). I honestly believe that you are not the problem but that whatever problem you are struggling with (anxiety, depression, anger) is the problem. We will discover who you aspire to be and develop tools and strategies that can help you to live for longer stretches of time as the best version of yourself. We’ll work to develop tools that you can utilize in between our sessions, and truths for you to hold on to, so that you can have more hope. I’ll help you learn to pay attention to the ways that your body is trying to communicate to you. I find that the people who make the most progress usually do some reflection between sessions.

I've served college students in the university setting for over 20 years, as an academic advisor and counselor on multiple campuses. I have specific experience working with students to help them navigate personal, academic, career, social, stress, wellness, and relationship issues. I have enjoyed particularly assisting students in exploring their identities, managing stress, creating successful academic and experiential strategies and schedules, motivation, selecting a major, deciding up on a career focus, addressing anxiety and depression, navigating life changes, improving relationships, and growing their confidence and self-esteem. I implement practical, goal-oriented treatments such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Client Centered Therapy, and Psychoeducation to help clients recognize thoughts and behaviors that are no longer serving them as they incorporate new strategies for moving forward. I want to enable students to achieve their best potential, question themselves less, and live their most joyful lives.

You might feel torn between what you want and what everyone else expects from you. You try to make the right choices, keep the peace, and be there for everyone, yet you are left feeling anxious, guilty, and unsure of your own needs. I work with women who feel stuck in relationships, career decisions, and life transitions, and who want to understand themselves more clearly and set healthier boundaries. My work is grounded in CBT, Mindfulness, EMDR, strengths-based therapy, and Trauma Informed care. I pay close attention to the mind-body connection because it often reveals what words cannot. Our goal is to help you feel more like yourself, more confident in your decisions, and more connected to what you truly want. I show up with honesty, compassion, and a little humor. I will support you, challenge you, and call out the patterns that keep showing up so you can stay focused on what matters to you. Your emotions have felt too overwhelming to acknowledge, so you try to ignore them, but they spill over into your daily life. You become triggered and have difficulty managing those emotions when they come to the surface. Negative thoughts pop into your head, and you spiral, believing your inner critic's every word. But you're ready to break free from the old story. If you are feeling the ripple effects of past trauma or experience intense emotions such as shame, sadness, low self-esteem, anger, or anxiety, I know how to help!

Queer enough? Babe, you're overqualified. If you're questioning it, you probably already know the answer. Queerness isn't a checklist or a vibe check. You don't need a membership card, you are already in. Out of the entire LGBTQIA+ community, folks like bi, pan, genderfluid, and nonbinary people are often seen as "less queer" - yet we face the highest rates of gender/sex based anxiety and depression. The double-closet effect - feeling invisible to both straight and queer spaces - makes it harder to feel seen, heard, and valid. No matter the mental health symptom, for queer people, healing starts with feeling validated and affirmed. I help queer folks who struggle to feel like they belong (including in LGBTQIA+ spaces) embrace their identity, trust their "enoughness," find calm through adversity, and conquer life stress, relationship trauma, and anxiety. I'm here for your fluidity, your bisexuality (no matter the gender of your partner), your polyamory, your transness. Welcome home. Healing starts with being in a space where you don't have to explain or prove yourself. We don't have to focus exclusively on queerness in your sessions, but you will never have to wonder if it's accepted and understood. Whether stress, relationship trauma, or anxiety, we'll focus on what matters to you. When you're ready, I'm here.

Therapy is a process. When looking for a therapist, you want someone who can see your goals and provide insight into how they can become reality. Therapy isn’t something that you can just come into one session and be magically healed. When I say therapy is a process, I mean, that therapy comes with challenges, but also rewards. If you can be completely open and honest in this process, I can promise that I will not only work to be a guiding light in this fog you are walking through, but also someone who is going to challenge you and help you bring your inner dialogue out. When I am working with a client, I will bring strategies that you can implement, challenging questions, and overwhelming support. There are going to be days where you may feel like giving up on your ideas, dreams, or passions but I want to remind you that resilience isn’t just about being able to take pain, but resilience is fighting for a future you want. I work with a multitude of specialities including beauty standards, colorism, stress from the political climate, trauma responses, parenting and how your childhood impacts this, social anxiety. Some of the specialties that I focus on are Beauty standard/colorism. We live in a society where European standards seem to be the beauty standard but beauty comes in different shades as well as different shapes. It’s not society‘s job to tell you what makes you beautiful, it’s your own job to remind you that you are beautiful the way you are And how you interpret that in your day-to-day life. Identity also plays a part in my specialties. Being a biracial woman myself, I hold space for Multiple aspects of identity. Every person you know has intersectional pieces of their identity and what I work on is understanding those pieces and how they work to frame your decisions, choices and life. Working through trauma experiences can be difficult. Things that you may not even think to be triggers such as certain sounds you hear, a song that plays at a restaurant, or even the smell of a cologne can completely change your mood. I specialize in working through trauma experiences due to incest. Especially if these experiences are continuing to impact you through the role of a parent. As a parent, you’re already going through mental gymnastics, whether or not you should let your kid out to be at a sleepover party or finding that they have a group of friends that were similar to yours as a kid. Rather than internalizing these fears, I want to create an open discussion where we can process your feelings and thoughts, give you validity to your emotions, but also give you the better understanding that all these emotions still impact your child. Lastly, in the climate that we’re in, politics should not be an issue we avoid. Whether you are on the right or left side, there are things that are happening in current news today that may be impacting you emotionally, financially, and maybe even physically. As your therapist, I’m here to not only just listen to you but also give you the chance to have your voice heard even if you have family with opposing views, friends with opposing views or even neighbors. The therapeutic process does not need to be one that is shortened by fear. Coming into a therapy session, I want you to feel like you have room to talk and that someone is actually listening. This isn’t just an hour of your time that you hope your therapist is making it a safe space but it’s an hour of your time that you were working towards a goal, something that you want in life. I don’t want to just create a safe space for you, I want to help you create a space where your inner thoughts can be heard, validated and respected.
