I am a board certified psychiatrist and provide combined psychotherapy and medication treatment. My patients are typically looking for therapy to address concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, and relationship issues. They are also often looking for support with evidence-based medication treatment. I listen carefully to understand the difficulties that bring someone to treatment and to understand their goals. I am collaborative in my approach. I approach psychotherapy from a psychodynamic perspective, where the goal is to increase understanding and insight into thoughts, feelings, and behavior. When we can understand ourselves better, we can then change patterns that may be getting in our way. This type of therapy can often lead to lasting change. Please note that because my practice is telehealth only, I do not prescribe controlled substances (for example, stimulants for ADHD or medications such as Xanax or Ativan for anxiety).

From the outside, you have it all together, but on the inside you feel disconnected. A gap between the life you’re living and the person you want to be. This disconnection is often a way our mind and body protect us, but overtime it leaves us feeling stuck or empty, in a cycle of doing rather than being. Whether we are navigating relationship concerns or echoes from the past, my focus is meeting you where you are. I work with individuals and couples to peel back these layers and rebuild trust and safety within yourself and others. Together, we work on understanding, untangling, and exploring emotions, behaviors, and past experiences and how they shape you, your world, and your relationships. We create trust and connection within yourself. It isn’t about control or correction. It’s about empowering you with the clarity and trust needed to meet challenges from a place true to you. I strive to create a safe, non-judgmental environment that welcomes all orientations, relationships, and lifestyles. My counseling style is warm, collaborative, and unique to you. You are not alone, when you're ready, I'm here. If you'd like to learn more, reach out for a free consultation. I'd love to work with you. Email is the best way to get in touch.
While working in healthcare for the past 25 years, I have experienced the value of human connection between caregiver and patient in various roles and settings. Every individual I have provided care for has their own story, a unique set of experiences that has shaped them. Understanding these individual differences helps establish individual plans of care. Upon establishing a therapeutic relationship with my clients, I strive to learn their stories and help them overcome their struggles. I aim to help clients find meaning and purpose, improve their quality of life, and achieve contentment. As a psychiatric nurse practitioner, I can prescribe medications and provide talk therapy to help treat psychiatric conditions such as depression, anxiety, panic attacks, mood disorders, bipolar disorders, personality disorders, PTSD, sleep disorders, and psychotic disorders. I have named my clinic after “eudaimonia,” which means ‘good spirit’ and is translated from Greek simply as ‘happiness.’ Eudaimonia is described as the condition of human flourishing, and this philosophy of finding meaning and purpose guides the care provided at Eudaimonia Psychiatric Mental Health Clinic.
Great to meet you! Hello, I’m Anjanette McCullar, a Licensed Professional Counselor with a strong background in education, counseling, and wellness. My path to counseling has been shaped by more than 15 years of working with children, adolescents, families, and communities—as a teacher, school counselor, group facilitator, and now therapist. I hold multiple degrees, including a Master’s in School Counseling and a Master’s in Educational Administration, along with specialized training in counseling, restorative yoga, and children’s yoga. This blend of education and wellness training allows me to approach therapy from a holistic perspective—supporting not only your mental and emotional well-being, but also recognizing how physical health, lifestyle, and environment influence your life. In my counseling work, I draw on my experience in both school and community settings to help clients navigate challenges such as life transitions, grief and loss, relationship dynamics, anxiety, self-esteem, and stress management. I believe therapy is a collaborative process, and I work to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where you can feel heard, understood, and empowered to grow. Because of my background in athletics, coaching, and wellness practices, I also integrate mindfulness, movement, and practical coping strategies when they align with your needs and goals. Whether we’re exploring patterns in relationships, developing tools for self-regulation, or setting steps toward personal change, I tailor my approach to fit you as a whole person. Above all, my goal is to meet you where you are, help you discover your strengths, and walk alongside you as you move toward healing and a more fulfilling life. A bit about my approach to therapy I believe therapy works best when it’s a collaborative partnership—where you bring your life experiences and I bring tools, perspective, and support to help you move forward. My style is warm, empathetic, and goal-oriented. I work to balance compassion with gentle challenges that help you grow, all while creating a safe, nonjudgmental environment where you can be your authentic self. I take a whole-person approach, integrating mental, emotional, physical, and social well-being into the process. This often means blending traditional talk therapy with mindfulness, restorative practices, and practical skills you can use in everyday life. My background in education, school counseling, and yoga allows me to address both immediate challenges and long-term personal development. I specialize in helping clients navigate: Life transitions and adjustment challenges Grief and loss Anxiety and stress management Self-esteem and identity development Relationship and communication issues In every session, I tailor my methods to your unique needs—whether that’s providing a safe space to process emotions, developing action steps toward your goals, or learning new skills to handle life’s challenges with more confidence and resilience. My ultimate goal is for you to leave therapy feeling more empowered, self-aware, and equipped to create the life you want. What you can expect from our first session In our sessions, you can expect a supportive, nonjudgmental environment where you feel safe to share your thoughts, feelings, and experiences. My goal is to create a space where you feel heard, understood, and respected—no matter what challenges you are facing. We will work together to: Increase self-awareness so you can better understand your emotions, behaviors, and patterns. Develop coping strategies that help you manage stress, anxiety, and life transitions more effectively. Strengthen relationships by improving communication skills and setting healthy boundaries. Build resilience so you can face challenges with greater confidence and flexibility. Enhance overall well-being through a whole-person approach that considers your mental, emotional, physical, and social health. My sessions are collaborative—I will guide, support, and challenge you when needed, but you will always be an active partner in your own growth. Depending on your needs, we may integrate mindfulness, movement-based practices, and practical tools you can use in everyday life.
