Relationships are the most rewarding and often the most difficult parts of our lives. If you're struggling in your romantic relationship, friendships, family or even in your relationship with yourself...you're not alone. Negative thoughts and feelings can keep you from the life you want with the people you love. Counseling can give you the support and encouragement you need to help move forward and find new, better ways to communicate and connect. It can be difficult to know who to trust with the things you're going through. Therapy offers you a confidential, comfortable place to talk about the things in your life that are hard to share with others. Together, we can uncover your strengths and use them to create a plan to give you relief from the uncomfortable place you're in today.

Hello! My name is Madeline & I specialize in ADHD, grief work, & women's issues around anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationships, & work-life balance. In my work with young and adult women (16+), I've found that through modeling genuine self-acceptance and self-compassion (instead of just talking about how important it is), my clients are more receptive to extending the same grace & kindness they give to others to themselves. Because I strongly emphasize authenticity in the work that I do, I show up to each session exactly as I am. Human. While I share therapeutically relevant experiences, anecdotes and thoughts often, they are always done with intention and care. I believe that it is incredibly difficult to form a meaningful connection with another person if the relationship is entirely one-sided. I've found that my approach to therapy differs in that I like to use a lot humor in sessions - both dark and light - which definitely isn't everyone's cup of tea, and that's okay! I am also unapologetically myself, and some days that looks a bit different than others. I'd be wasting my time and yours if I pretended to be someone I'm not or that some days weren't messy, chaotic garbage for me, too. Pretending is not conducive to connection, and I believe my approach to therapy is a testament to that fact. The therapeutic relationship is the bedrock of any therapy success story. I strive to connect to each of my clients on a deep and meaningful level by remaining authentic, genuine, and honest. I provide sincere feedback, offer many skills that can be used outside of sessions, and equip clients with the tools they need to be successful and resilient when life feels like it's just too much. While some issues may be very solution-focused and direct, others may take time. The space I offer is not only safe and nonjudgmental, it is also patient. I will sit with you in the hurt, the pain, the loss, the ache, the hopelessness, and the chaos. I will sit with you knowing that there is an end in sight, and will hold your hand as we find our way out of that darkness together.

Courage isn’t about having no fear—it’s about feeling it and walking straight toward it. And let’s be honest, some days courage is just answering the phone, replying to that text, or—YIKES—opening the front door. Maybe you’ve mastered looking “fine” on the outside, while on the inside you’re desperately hoping no one gets close enough to see the real you. I get it. We all want life to be easy, but counseling? Yeah, it’s not always easy. It’s work. It’s showing up. It’s sticking with it when it feels uncomfortable. If you’re still reading this, I’m guessing something in your life feels heavy and you wish it could just magically change. I can’t promise magic—but I can promise to walk beside you every step of the way, helping you find your footing and your balance again.

The transition from high school to college can be a struggle for many students, who may experience feelings of anxiety, boundaries, and guilt during this time. Anxiety can manifest itself in a variety of different ways, such as people-pleasing behaviors, fear, perfectionism, and a general feeling of dissatisfaction. College is about boundaries; learning when to say yes and when to say no to both internal and external pressures. Establishing boundaries is important for the well-being of college students so that they don’t feel overwhelmed with stress or anxiety during this time of transition. If you're feeling overwhelmed and uncertain about your next steps, our individual therapy services can help. We'll work with you to develop a plan that addresses the specific challenges you're facing, and provides you with the tools and support you need to succeed.

Hi, my name is Katie and I started Rise Up Therapy seven years ago to create a safe space for clients to explore all the different parts of themselves. I love working with college students where life can get overwhelming fast. College is a powerful time for self-growth, and my approach is warm, relational, and practical, creating a safe space where you feel seen and supported. I use a gospel-centered framework when desired, while respecting where you are in your faith, and focus on building self-awareness, healthy boundaries, and coping tools for daily life. Are you tired of overthinking everything—relationships, school, work, finances, and what’s coming next in life? Do you find yourself always thinking ahead, planning details, and trying to stay on top of everything… to the point that it feels exhausting? Maybe your mind rarely slows down. You replay conversations, overanalyze decisions, and put pressure on yourself to do things the “right” way. You may find yourself feeling anxious about the future or wondering whether you’re somehow falling behind. Internally, it can feel exhausting to always be this “on.” If any of this sounds familiar, you’re not alone. Many highly capable people feel overwhelmed by the pressure to keep it all together while quietly struggling with anxiety, perfectionism, and emotional exhaustion. And often, it’s not simply a time management issue—it’s the mental and emotional load of carrying too much for too long. I specialize in helping individuals manage overthinking, overwhelm, anxiety, and perfectionism. Many of my clients are thoughtful, self-aware, and driven, but feel mentally stretched and unable to fully enjoy where they are in life. Therapy with me is collaborative, supportive, and grounded. Together, we’ll work to untangle anxious thought patterns, quiet the constant pressure you place on yourself, and create more space for clarity, confidence, and ease—without lowering your standards or stepping away from what matters most to you. You do not need to have everything figured out before starting therapy. Most of the people I work with reach out while they’re still trying to make sense of what they’re experiencing—they just know they’re tired of feeling constantly “on” or stuck in cycles of pressure and overthinking. Please reach out today to start your care. I’m happy to answer any initial questions and help you determine whether we’d be a good fit. I look forward to connecting with you and supporting you in feeling more grounded, more present, and more like yourself again—so life can start to feel a little lighter.

I work with people navigating change, whether that’s figuring out adulthood, starting a family, or finding your footing in a new season of life. I also support neurodivergent individuals, including those with ADHD, autism, or other forms of neurodiversity, who are learning how to honor their unique ways of thinking, feeling, and being in the world. My goal is to help you feel more grounded, supported, and confident as you move through whatever’s next. Clients describe me as warm, approachable, and easy to talk to. Our sessions are a space to slow down, reflect, and explore what really matters to you. We’ll work together to make sense of what’s been feeling heavy and uncover new ways to move forward. You can expect a comfortable, judgment-free space to talk about what’s been on your mind. We’ll focus on what’s most important to you, and my hope is that you leave feeling heard, understood, and a little more at ease about where you’re headed.
