Therapists for college students near Atlanta, GA
Are you curious about how therapy could benefit you but you're not sure where to start? I am here to help! I strive to provide therapy grounded in safety, respect, and collaboration. I specialize in working with those experiencing struggles with academic stress, anxiety, depression, life transitions, PTSD, and perfectionism. I’m passionate about supporting those affected by life-altering medical diagnoses, like Parkinson’s Disease, survivors of traumatic experiences, and those experiencing major life transitions. I specialize in Trauma-Narrative Therapy, CBT, and Person-Centered therapeutic modalities. I have experience working with severe and persistent mental disorders, doing trauma work with survivors of genocide, and I really enjoy helping clients determine their values and how to build a life lead by those values. Starting a therapy journey takes a lot of vulnerability and courage, but you don't have to figure it out alone. Please do not hesitate to reach out with any questions or for a consultation call! I offer both in-person and virtual sessions. I completed my Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Mercer University and completed my bachelor’s in psychology at Kennesaw State University with a minor in sociology. I am currently working towards my LPC and am under the supervision of Jessie Alexander, LPC, CPCS and direction of Meg McLeroy, LMFT. Please don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions, as I would be more than happy to offer a free 15-minute consultation!
Revelare Recovery is a Women’s PHP & IOP program designed to address co-occurring diagnoses of an Eating Disorder (ED) alongside a secondary Substance Use Disorder (SUD) or Mental Health diagnosis. It operates at the Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) and Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) levels of care. One important aspect of this program is that it provides supportive housing for clients who reside outside of the Atlanta market. This housing arrangement ensures that clients have a safe and structured environment during their treatment period. Our supportive housing program consists of two phases: Phase 1, which lasts for 30 days and is conducted primarily in the PHP setting, and Phase 2, which lasts an additional 30 days and takes place primarily in the IOP setting. The program specifcally caters to women, recognizing their unique needs in the context of EDs and co-occurring disorders. By focusing exclusively on women, the program can tailor its treatment approaches to address the specific challenges and experiences that women may face.

But the gift is that it's a one-way friendship where it's all about you! You get to talk about whatever you want and need to say. I can offer you support, encouragement, an outside perspective, and space to explore. While life presents challenges, I believe that you are fundamentally strong and resilient. Is trauma making it difficult to feel safe, trust others, or feel connected? Trauma and attachment wounds can shape how we see ourselves, experience relationships, and carry the pressure we place on ourselves. I am a trauma-informed therapist working with adults, couples, and families. I help clients navigate trauma, anxiety, perfectionism, people-pleasing, relationship challenges, and the feeling of always needing to hold everything together. Together, we will explore your experiences, build emotional safety, develop coping skills, and create meaningful change. As a Black woman, I understand that mental health is not always prioritized when survival comes first. My experiences shaped my passion for making therapy approachable, understandable, and accessible. I believe everyone deserves to feel seen, heard, and supported while working toward healing and growth. My approach is warm, collaborative, and tailored to each client’s needs. I integrate Internal Family Systems (IFS), ACT, EFT, attachment-focused therapy, and play therapy to help clients heal, understand themselves, and create healthier connections. Taking the first step toward therapy can feel overwhelming, but you do not have to do it alone.

It can be one of the most difficult steps to make that first phone call for therapy. Typically, we are making that call when life feels the most stressful or when we are feeling at our most vulnerable. I strive to support the courage, strength, and determination involved in seeking support. Described by clients as caring, supportive, and warm, I believe each person possesses innate skills and strengths that can be utilized within therapy. I value strengths-based, person-in-environment, cognitive-behavioral, and motivational therapeutic approaches to support each individual’s intrinsic worth and value. I love working with adults, couples, and families to explore difficulties in coping emotionally, breaking the cycle of addiction or substance use, balancing life stressors, establishing self-esteem, setting healthy boundaries, and maintaining healthy relationships. I strive to help you find your voice, offer new coping skills, and explore presenting concerns within a non-judgmental and warm environment. Think we might be a good fit?
