Welcome! My name is Dr. Mahkada Taylor and I commend you for taking the first step in creating a life that you love. I am a Licensed Psychologist providing online counseling to adults in Georgia. While I consider myself to be a generalist, I have special expertise in the following areas: immigration issues and the immigrant experience, culture/race-based concerns, relationships (family, romantic, friendships, other), depression and anxiety.
Currently, I provide virtual/online appointments through a HIPAA-compliant client portal. My clinical specialties include helping people cope with stress more effectively in relationships and academic or professional pursuits, find their way through difficult life transitions of their own or in their families, and process traumatic events they have experienced or witnessed. I also help people learn how to more effectively manage a variety of mental health disorders, including anxiety, mood disorders, post-traumatic stress disorder, and symptoms of psychosis. My approach is integrative (tailored to you), collaborative (we are a team), client-centered (begins with and builds on your own understanding), strengths-focused (develops your strengths to foster greater resilience), and trauma-informed (our relationship becomes a safe space for processing and releasing difficult thoughts and emotions).
I believe therapy can be a transformative experience, and it requires a lot of courage to take that first step toward healing. As a therapist, I use a warm, interpersonal approach, drawing from attachment theory, internal family systems (IFS), somatics, and DBT. I help clients find purpose and meaning in life, feel a sense of safety in their bodies, and understand their own behavioral and attachment patterns. I enjoy working with young adults struggling with a sense of self and identity, those with personality and mood disorders, the LGBTQIA+ community, and individuals questioning their sexuality and/or gender presentation. I can’t wait to accompany you on this journey.
Navigating college young adulthood brings a unique set of challenges. Through a collaborative approach, we will work together to process through your individual experiences. I strive to create a warm, welcoming environment to promote change. I am an LGBTQIA+ affirming therapist. I love working with highly sensitive individuals, clients struggling with anxiety, and navigating adjustments and life transitions.
My speciality is in reproductive health counseling. This can span from managing mental health issues alongside of reproductive health difficulties, family building and family planning.

The cycle of perfectionism and food struggles leaves us feeling invisible, anxious, unworthy, and like an outsider in our own lives. If you’re tired of the constant pressure to prove your worth through your appearance or achievements, I’m here to help you find a way back to yourself. I'm currently a Clinical Mental Health Counseling intern at Grand Canyon University and an aspiring therapist deeply committed to guiding clients toward holistic healing—body, mind, and spirit. As an intern, I provide low-cost therapy to help you access the care you need. I specialize in working with adolescents, young adults, and women & men in midlife struggling with eating disorders, relentless perfectionism, anxiety & the persistent feeling of not being good enough. Clients come to me looking for a therapist who truly gets the exhausting weight of trying to belong while hiding behind a polished exterior. I've been there. Therapy should be a place where you feel deeply seen and safely challenged. Sessions with me are a blend of compassionate exploration and authentic connection, designed to help you dismantle the need for perfection and reclaim your sense of worth. Feel free to reach out for a free 15-minute call or text to set up an appointment! Other availiability discussed upon request.

When is the last time you intentionally gave yourself (or others) grace? No really… when was the last time? Life comes at us quick and if we’re not careful, we’ll find ourselves struggling with unforgiveness, anger, self-doubt and more; because we allowed the battles we face to win. The truth is, they don’t have to win. We can’t always control what happens to us, but we can learn to control how we respond. We can make the necessary changes to show up in this world in a way that brings us joy and fulfillment. Living Intentionally to Transform (LITT) was created to provide a safe space for YOU to process through life’s troubles. I specialize in working with adolescents, athletes, college students and adults. When serving clients, my approach is simple… come as you are! I strive to always provide a space for clients to just, be. No pressure to act, talk or show up in a certain way. You can expect to be met with respect and understanding at all times and for me to be fully, me. For those who are Christians, you will also find a place to grow in your faith. When seeking a provider, most people desire someone with similar beliefs and/or morals. It’s also important for many to be able to feel a sense of connectivity with the person they are trusting for services. Well, let me share a little about myself. I am a PROUD HBCU graduate from theeeeee Winston Salem State University. I am also a graduate of Georgia State University where I received my Masters in Social Work. Most would describe me as laid back, transparent and silly. My clients would likely say that I’m one that will “keep it real” but also share a good laugh with you when needed. I will challenge you but also support you. I love time with family and have a special place in my heart for athletes as I am a previous athlete and coach myself. Did I mention I love cheesecake? Alright, alright.. enough about me… are you ready? Potential presenting issues/specialties: - stress - athletics/ sports performance - social life - peer relationships - family relationships - intimate relationships / Couples - anxiety - childhood traumas - life adjustments or changes - balance - spirituality/religion - time management - self doubt This list is not exhaustive of the reasons one may seek therapy. If you think LITT may be a good fit, reach out today. **Disclaimer: Due to licensing laws for therapist, I can only see clients who reside in the state of Georgia in which I am licensed.** To schedule a consultation -> https://jenae-ingram.clientsecure.me/
Hi, I'm glad you are reaching out for help and to begin the process of self-discovery. Due to COVID, I'm currently providing only telehealth sessions. We can all encounter barriers — often these are out of our awareness — that prevent us from thriving in our careers and in relationships. I believe the therapeutic relationship offers a unique opportunity in the here-and-now to increase our self-awareness and understand the influence of the past on our present behavior. I work collaboratively, empathically and creatively to help you get “unstuck” and to foster meaningful, lasting change in your inner world and in your relationships with others. Over the years, I have worked with people who are experiencing challenges related to college, work, intimate relationships, identity (cultural, racial, sexual, gender, class – and intersections of these), trauma, grief, adjustments or transitions, anxiety and depression. I have worked for many years with graduate and undergraduate students.
