I have experience with trauma, depression, anxiety, ADHD, and relational problems. My passion for working with diverse populations led me to pursue the Global Mental Health: Immigration and Trauma Certificate from Harvard University. I strive to see my clients beyond their diagnoses and to raise awareness of the societal and cultural challenges that may prevent them from fulfilling their true potential I work best with high-achieving individuals who may appear successful outwardly but feel overwhelmed or uncertain internally. One of the great promises of therapy is that even when we don’t know exactly what we need or know how to feel better, if we lean in with curiosity and compassion- and stay committed- we can learn to turn toward ourselves and each other with empathy, begin to build healthier relationships, and ride waves of emotions like a pro surfer. I believe we all have the capacity to grow and reach greater levels of understanding along happiness in life. I think the best way to get there is through a meaningful connection that is created in a safe environment where we can express our authentic needs. I often support clients with experiences like stress, depression, anxiety, grief, trauma, bipolar, ADHD, and autism. I have been trained in various clinical techniques in Europe, including schema therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy, interpersonal therapy, and psychodynamic therapy. My approach is integrative and tailored to your unique goals and needs. Growing up outside the US, I also bring a cross-cultural perspective that deepens my understanding of the challenges people from diverse backgrounds might face. I empower my clients to gain insights into their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors so that they can make meaningful changes in their lives. Reach out if you're curious about working together!
I specialize in helping people to manage and recover from eating disorders and co-occurring illnesses. I believe that clients who struggle with eating disorders have inherently painful emotions which are managed by various harmful behaviors so I work collaboratively with clients, their support network, and their outpatient providers to find ways to change these behaviors and manage emotions in both the short and long term. In my outpatient practice, I see individuals of all ages and genders who struggle with a wide variety of challenges related to disordered eating, body image issues, and low self-esteem. When I'm not seeing outpatient clients, I also work full-time at a local eating disorder facility, and am able to facilitate referrals to local treatment centers as needed. I remain committed to continuing to work with clients while they need a higher level of support. In addition to in-office individual therapy, I also offer recovery coaching in the community. This can include a wide variety of support including meal coaching, food exposures, and body image improvement coaching. Please contact me for additional information. If you are interested in becoming a new client, please email me for the fastest response.

Healing is nuanced, deeply personal, and rarely linear. It’s okay to ask for some extra support along the way. Therapy can be a space to help you process what feels stuck, create meaningful change, and feel more at home in yourself. You are not alone in this. I’m a queer, nonbinary therapist with over a decade of clinical experience across multiple levels of care. I have particular expertise in supporting adults as they navigate eating disorder recovery, body image healing, life transitions, and LGBTQIA2S+ mental health. The heart of my practice is building bridges of compassion between the body, mind, and sense of self. My dialectical and holistic approach is grounded in queer affirmation, neurodiversity affirmation, body liberation, and harm reduction. Whatever is bringing you to therapy, please reach out for a free phone consultation. I’d be glad to connect.
Do you struggle with daily negative thoughts and low mood? School or work stress? Feeling hopeless about the future and wondering if you will ever feel better? If so, I think we could be a good fit together in therapy. In sessions, I utilize a mix of actively listening and offering concrete tools to help you feel better and reach your goals. These tools are from research-backed treatments called cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT). I also enjoy incorporating my sense of humor and positive demeanor to help you feel understood and motivated during our treatment together. I am licensed in New York and Massachusetts. My practice is currently virtual. In addition to my private practice, I am a Clinical Assistant Professor of Psychology in Psychiatry at Weill Cornell Medical College, where I teach psychology and psychiatry graduate students. Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions! I offer a free 15-minute phone consultation to answer your questions and see whether I would be a good fit for your therapy goals.

Great to meet you! In my work as a therapist, I have had the privilege of working with adolescents, young adults, and adults navigating a wide range of mental health challenges. My approach is grounded in building therapeutic relationships based in affirming care and empathy. I strive to create a warm, relatable environment that allows people to be grow, laugh, cry (sometimes), and feel safe to peel back their own layers and explore themselves. A bit about my approach to therapy: When providing therapy services, I always take a relational approach with the folks I am serving. I think it is important that people feel comfortable, heard, and like they are talking to another person as opposed to a robot. What you can expect from our first session: During our first session, we will talk about what has brought you to therapy, what previous mental health treatment you have had if any, and what you hope therapy can do for you.
