Finding the right therapist matters — and here's what sets my approach apart. I combine psychodynamic therapy, CBT, mindfulness, and self-compassion into a practical, personalized framework refined over more than 10 years of clinical experience working with high-achievers. I don't believe in a one-size-fits-all approach; you are the expert on your own life. I understand firsthand the pressure to perform, the fear of falling short, and the burnout that comes from relentlessly pushing yourself. I'm not just familiar with those experiences clinically; I've lived them. My clients tell me they appreciate that I'm direct, warm, and genuinely collaborative — that sessions feel both supportive and productive. All sessions are available online, so getting consistent support fits into even the most demanding schedule. If you're ready to stop white-knuckling your way through and start building something that actually feels sustainable, I'd love to connect. Schedule a free 20-minute consultation at susanpodbielski.com — no pressure, just a conversation.

Do you wake up feeling sad? Or, do you go about your day feeling afraid or anxious? Are you in a troubled relationship? Are you unhappy with your life? Perhaps you are stuck and don't know which career or degree to pursue. Perhaps you are struggling in school or socially? Whatever the case may be, there is a way out. All of us humans have a problem to solve. I am a cross-cultural psychotherapist and psychoanalyst. I have more than 20 years of experience working with international students, expatriates, and newly arrived-immigrants. Traversing life’s impasses requires compassionate attention, steadfast effort, and care. Psychotherapy would give you a chance to delve into your complexity and depth and sufferings in the presence of another person—a professional in your corner, a witness whose presence makes your struggle bearable.

I specialize in working with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds (BIPOC & LGBTQ+ adults) who are navigating life’s challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, anger management, identity exploration (racial, sexual, and gender), abuse, and internalized shame. You don’t have to carry it all alone, shrink yourself, or show up perfectly—I’m here to offer a supportive, affirming space where you can show up authentically, be seen, and heal in a way that feels aligned with your values. As a Black, queer, Afro-traditional spiritualist, my work is deeply rooted in love, liberation, and wellness. I believe healing is both a personal and collective journey—one that calls for self-exploration, connection, and the unlearning of narratives that no longer serve us. My approach blends personal wisdom with professional expertise, allowing me to support clients in understanding how systemic oppression and interpersonal experiences shape their daily lives. I am passionate about creating spaces where people can reclaim their autonomy, heal from trauma, and redefine their narratives in ways that honor their truth. I believe that transformation happens when we feel safe enough to show up fully as ourselves, and I strive to cultivate that safety for every client I work with. If you're seeking a space to explore, heal, and step into your power, I’d be honored to walk alongside you! If you’re interested in reinviting balance and harmony back into your life, please feel free to send an email to awilhite@therapyinsghtspractice.com so that we can discuss further.

Here for you, always - and we mean that. Life doesn’t always go according to plan, and when that happens it can feel like the walls around you are caving in. We’re here to help you push those walls back up and construct a life that feels aligned with the one you have always envisioned for yourself. Manhattan Wellness isn’t your typical clinical practice, and that’s intentional. You may have considered therapy in the past but felt like the entire process was too cold, too clinical or too buttoned up. We’re here to change that for you. Our therapists are authentic (and human- just like you) and have an approach that makes you feel like you’re talking to a friend over coffee- not someone who is analyzing you with a pen and paper in hand. Our clients know that they are the experts of their own experience Every human experience is unique, which means therapy for moving through those experiences should be too. MW doesn’t believe in one-size-fits-all treatment. Instead, we offer our unique combination of client-tailored techniques and empathy-first approach. This cultivates a safe and supportive environment where you feel comfortable and inspired to make powerful strides towards living your best life both now and later. Just like how your hairstylist knows exactly how you like your blowout, your therapist will get to know you on a personal level and create a tailored therapy plan that works for you because it was made for you. Manhattan Wellness is a boutique psychotherapy practice that just gets it. Sessions feel like you’re talking to a trusted friend, not a therapist, and you have the opportunity to share what’s on your mind without judgment. We offer both in person and virtual therapy sessions that help you work through obstacles so you can live your best life both now and in the future. Our providers lead with empathy and understanding so you truly feel heard and validated. Therapy should never feel like a “one size fits all” solution. That’s why we offer a complimentary 15 minute consultation call with a hand-selected provider that meets your unique needs.

Dr. Marguerat Degaard is a New York State Licensed Clinical Psychologist. Her academic journey started in Switzerland with a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from the University of Geneva. Wanting to combine her passion for dance and the art of therapy, she came to the US and obtained a Master’s degree in Dance/Movement Therapy in 1986 from Hunter College, NYC. She worked as a Dance Therapist for 14 years, developing, implementing and supervising creative art therapies programs. In 2005 Dr. Marguerat Degaard received her PhD from Adelphi University. Since then she worked in hospital settings adding teaching and training to her work as a clinician. Throughout the years, she continued to receive education and training in different areas of interest. She has been in private practice part time and full time since 2015. Her approach is integrative and flexible greatly influenced and informed by her artistic background. Her many years of work in the mental health field has taught her profound humility in the face of the deepest layers of humanity. She views psychotherapy as an in-depth collaborative and creative process which expands and frees self-expressions allowing untold stories to be told, contradictions to be bridged, and emotions to be touched or re-touched towards richer and healthier self-understanding and life experiences. She offers psychotherapeutic services in English and French. Her method will encourage and mobilize what she calls the 3 Cs in her patients, i.e. courage, curiosity and creativity. She will support the courage it takes to embark on the therapeutic journey, she will foster a deep sense of curiosity in one’s experiences that help shape one’s humanity through self-reflection and self-exploration work, and the use of creativity to allow new spaces to open and be expanded.

Hello! I am a clinical social worker with a particular interest in life transitions, neurodiversity and climate psychology. I often work with creatives(and creatively inclined people). My approach: I have advanced training in Gestalt Therapy, an experiential, non-hierarchical and existential approach to therapy. I work relationally, and will meet you where you are in your life right now, in the moment. While we will sometimes look at past experiences, most of our work together will develop through looking at patterns that come up in therapy. Whether you are experiencing symptoms that seem to get in the way of your day to day, or want to explore what you can learn through looking at all of the many facets that make up who you are, I'd love to be part of your journey.

TriBeCa Therapy is a center for psychotherapy that was founded on the assumption that human beings are original, imaginative, inspired, and inventive. We particularly love our work with young adults and college students and are connected to issues they deal with. Issues related to sex and dating, drugs and drinking, depression and anxiety and academic pressures aren’t topics that will freak us out. We can handle it. College students frequently discuss with us challenges related to making friends in ways that don’t involve alcohol, making friends as a person of color, navigating social situations that demand connecting with strangers (like in the cafeteria) and finding “their people.” We work to create a partnership that takes these challenges on together, trying new strategies, taking increasingly bigger risks and dealing with the disappointments and celebrating the successes that follow. Caryn (she/they) is a queer, nonbinary therapist who specializes in helping clients navigate anxiety, OCD, and sexual trauma (often the intersection of all three). Using approaches that honor the mind-body connection—such as psychosomatic therapy, IFS, and ERP—Caryn gently pushes clients to change unhelpful patterns and heal longstanding wounds. As an individual and couples’ therapist, Caryn creates a space in which clients can safely engage with the scary stuff without letting it overwhelm them. At the core of their practice is the belief that pleasure is a human right, and they are here to guide clients toward the joy that they deserve. I might be the right therapist for you if… You want to work with someone who Gets It: who understands the nuance of gender and sexuality, who understands your cultural references, and who sees the value in humor as a coping mechanism (aka, I’ll laugh at your jokes!) You want to stop intellectualizing your emotions and actually feel them (or, perhaps, feel them a little less intensely all the time) You keep getting caught in cycles of obsession and/or rumination and don’t know how to stop them or what they mean You want a therapist who is knowledgeable about and affirming of sex work, kink, polyamory, queer folks, neurodiversity, and fat liberation, among others
