Hi, nice to meet you! I believe that everyone can change and grow at any time in their lives. As your therapist, it is my goal to see you become a better and stronger version of yourself. It is my belief that life's experiences teach us things that may no longer be the most helpful or true today; even if they were true at the time in our past. When we don't adapt and remain flexible, we find ourselves in a web of mistaken beliefs, thinking errors and unresolved and unprocessed life problems. As a result, it becomes too hard to find our way and manage life's challenges in the here-and-now. I love to be present and help my clients find a new way and authentically experience change. I've worked with clients from many walks of life and with varied needs. My areas of expertise are in Anxiety, Depression, Women Issues, Life Transition, Christian Counseling and Self-Esteem issues. I use an Eclectic and Holistic approach to help my clients bring out the best in themselves. I like to use humor, challenging questions, and a warm open-minded approach. My favorite activities when I'm not at work are to explore and appreciate the outdoors by traveling, yoga, shopping, and spending time with my family and dog, and trying new exciting restaurants. Selecting a therapist can be difficult because it's not easy to know exactly who you are getting. "Will this person really know what she is talking about? Is she a total Quack? Will she actually be able to help me?" These questions are the norm for clients and uncertainty comes with the territory of what you are searching for. It's my hope that we will make a great team and you will become a better and stronger version of yourself.
Many people start thinking about therapy because, emotionally, they don’t feel good. Maybe your emotions end up taking you for a ride and you feel helpless to stop it. I graduated from The University of Southern Mississippi with my bachelor’s in psychology in 2017 and my master’s in counseling psychology in 2020. I’ve worked in different settings including telehealth, homes, schools, and an acute care inpatient psychiatric hospital.
