In order to grow, a plant must filter what it takes in and uses. The mind is no different as our ability to grow, live, and be happy are shaped by how our minds filter the world around us. At Blooming Minds Therapy, we aid in the development of the tools, skills, and mindsets necessary to overcome the obstacles in life that keep your growth stunted. We will work with you and others you love in order to build a network that not only supports you but encourages each other to grow.
When life becomes unmanageable due to a variety of circumstances, who or what do we tend to turn to? Anxiety, depression, and traumas mask over our true selves, shielding us from who we want to be. These masks also protect us from the fear that lies with working on these debilitating issues, more likely than not we pick up unhealthy habits and behaviors to help us cope. A lot of times we do not realize how this affects not just us, but any relationship we are in (personal, business, school, etc.) during these times we are struggling. It is important to know that we are not alone in this difficult journey. I am here for you in a compassionate and empathetic way as we work together to identify those roadblocks that are currently keeping you from ‘being’; helping you to overcome them or to better manage them the next time we face that same barrier, because we almost always do! I work with a variety of treatment modalities that are unique to each individual’s needs and that help us achieve the best results for you in your healing. Now, some things about me! I earned my Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from the Michigan School of Psychology in 2018. Since 2013 however, my clinical background includes working as part of a multidisciplinary team in a rehabilitation setting providing individual psychotherapy with individuals diagnosed with traumatic brain injury, post-traumatic stress disorder, anxiety, depression, and ADHD. I also have extensive experience in administering and scoring neuropsychological test batteries in various outpatient settings including a hospital-based program as well as in the setting of a neurobehavioral rehabilitation program. I do look forward to meeting with you and creating a safe space where we can begin the journey of healing. I am accepting new clients, and am currently available via telehealth Monday - Thursday, 9am to 7pm.

Thankfully there is a way to be a control freak without doing it to others. Control yourself by paying more attention to your emotions, thoughts, and actions. I want to help you do that so you can find more enjoyment out of the things you want to do and less stress doing the things you don't want to do. Let me help you create confidence in yourself to manage better and take control of your life. Some of the most common things I help you gain more control over is stress, anxiety, depression, eating disorders / dysfunctions, emotional management, and relationships.
