I enjoy working with students who are open to working on developing coping skills between sessions and who recognize that sometimes growth is uncomfortable. My particular areas of interest are trauma, grief, and relationships. I hope you’ll give us a call or stop in today.

Asking for help can be hard, but it doesn’t have to be! You don’t have to suffer in silence or figure it out alone. Are you ready to name what you need? Are you ready to be authentically you? Are you ready to confront the things you’ve been avoiding, set goals, and crush them? These are just a few questions some of my clients might ask themselves as they prepare to engage in therapy. If you are ready to take steps on your journey, I am dedicated to providing the supportive, compassionate and authentic environment for you to succeed, so send the message, let’s connect! I recieved my Bachelors in Social Work from Grand Valley State University in 2013, and obtained my Masters in Social Work and Evidence Based Trauma Treatment Certificate in 2018.

Attending college can be an exciting time and also a challenging time. Adjusting to so many life transitions and managing the stress that comes with these transitions can become overwhelming. Counseling assists you with the adjustment process, helps with finding solutions, learning healthy coping skills and identifying and modifying faulty thinking patterns that contribute to stress, anxiety and depression. Counseling can also help you define life goals, career plans, resolve relationship issues. You don't have to manage these stressful situations alone. Together we can work through any issues holding you back from fully enjoying the college experience.

As a visual artist who uses creative processes to support mental health, I work with those who gravitate towards writing, music, dance, and visual arts. My personal understanding of the creative process and how it can be adapted to support people emotionally and mentally comes into play as we work together to create a safe place for exploration. I especially love working with young adults who are defining their identity and dealing with anxiety and overwhelm during this transition. I look forward to seeing how your creativity can be used as a strength in your times of need. accepting virtual and in-person appointments.
